About Ms. Hackett
Ms. Hackett graduated from Christian Brothers University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Information Technology and Management. She attended the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis from which she obtained her Juris Doctor in 2008. During law school, Ms. Hackett clerked for Judge Karen R. Williams, Division III of Shelby County Circuit Court.
Ms. Hackett is admitted and licensed to practice in all state courts of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Hackett has a published Sixth Circuit opinion, Campbell v. BNSF Ry. Co., 600 F.3d 667 (6th Cir. 2010). She focuses her practice on civil defense litigation and has experience in medical malpractice, insurance, appellate, and railroad law. She is a member of the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Memphis Bar Association.
Ms. Hackett has been an associate attorney with Shuttleworth Williams, PLLC since 2011.
Outside of her law practice, Ms. Hackett is a council member for a regional hospital. She is the Vice President of the Lake Lipscomb Lake Association in Mississippi.
