About Ms. Thomason

Suzy Thomason joined Shuttleworth Williams, PLLC in 2010. She has been licensed to practice law in Tennessee since 1999. Ms. Thomason has been admitted to practice before the State and Federal Courts in Tennessee, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Her practice has included experience in a number of areas including general civil litigation, medical malpractice, family law, commercial real estate, business law, and wills and estates. Ms. Thomason currently works in general civil litigation, primarily focusing on Workers’ Compensation.

Ms. Thomason graduated from Rhodes College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1999. While attending law school, she was a member of the University of Memphis Law Review, served as a tutor in the Law School Academic Support Program, and was an intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee. Ms. Thomason served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable W. Frank Crawford of the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable J.C. McLin of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.

Ms. Thomason is a member of the Shelby County Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. She is also an active member of a regional team for the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program.”
